Students often find analogue planning with templates and X-ray images does not meet the requirements placed on precision and documentation. With digital planning the residents are permitted, a seamless exchange of patient and surgical data. This gives ample exposure as it saves time and reduces sources of error. It helps doctors in planing with a perfectly fitting prosthesis in a short, uncomplicated surgery.



The Orthopaedic Solution provides the experience to demonstrate additional functional advantages. This includes automatic axis correction - a key requirement for an exact prosthesis fit. This automatic feature saves time and avoids errors that can occur with other solutions through manual correction and angle conversion. This proves to be a great advantage, especially in the case of reconstruction osteotomies.



For example: The hip module helps to plan hip implants. It is based on planning methods, which were previously done manually, for hip endoprosthetics using radiographic imaging and prosthesis templates. By this the physician can quickly and easily:



  • • Determine the appropriate femoral neck length
  • • Select and fit suitable cup and/or shaft combinations
  • • Determine pre- and postoperative leg-length compensation and display this on the image
  • • Professionally measure and assess hip joint morphologies using the “FAI” function
  • • Determine the dimensions of bilateral femoral offsets

  • • Determine the acetabular offsets
  • • Calculate and perform intertrochanteric osteotomies
